Morton Wolf Lookalikes

Hello, welcome to our website.

Picture
We are Andrew and Elizabeth Morton,  probably better known to most of you in the Wolf look alike world as Andy and Liz.
We live in a small town, North East of Aberdeen in Scotland. 'Its one of those places where, if you blink, you'll miss it', Beautifully surrounded by mountains, woods and rivers, its a lovely little community and has served us well over the years as a place to raise our family and dogs.

Our dogs are not only our pets and companions, they are our lifestyle choice. Everything changes when you bring one of these wonderful animals into your life, hopefully this site will go some way to prepare you for that.
Our dogs are all a combination of the breeds of dog that we most admire, they just so happen to fall into what's known as the 'Wolf lookalike dog category'. The category is not important to us, Wolf lookalike is just a descriptive term, we are as happy to call them crossbreeds. Most people however insist on a label to describe the breeding behind a dog and this is the one that fits ours as they have all come from breeders who set out to do just that, breed a dog that resembled the wolf.
Mostly our dogs have Utonagan and Northern Inuit lines behind them, they are registered with neither of these societies and we are independent of all clubs associated with.
We understand the importance and confusion the Wolf look alike label implies and have therefore tried to link you to as many of the differing 'types' websites as we can, giving you as much information and as broad a perspective of the dogs as possible, hopefully helping you to reach a decision on which 'type' suits you, your family and your circumstances best.
Its very important to note the differences in the dogs used by various clubs as they do not all use the same type of dogs and mixing some breed characteristics may not result in the behaviour you are looking for in your future pet. The best advice we can give is to research them all.

We hope you enjoy your visit and pop back to see our updates from time to time, the site is by no means extensive but we feel it covers the basic questions you and other members of the public most commonly ask about our own dogs and other Wolf lookalike types.
We hope the information given will also help you better understand the confusion that often results from the terms Wolf lookalike, Wolf alike, Wolfdog and Wolf hybrid.
