What our puppy owners have to say about us and their babies.
Melissa with Elenna.
I was absolutely delighted to be introduced to Liz and Andy. I was looking for an easy, intelligent, affectionate, healthy and beautiful GSD x "Wolfdog or "Snowdog" To join my pack and that is exactly what I found in my Elenna.
I found Andy & Liz extreamley approachable and honest to speak to about any matters regarding her before and after picking her up. Their full concern was that we would be a perfect match and that the wonderful pup they had bred would be in a forever and happy home.
They went that extra step to even meet me for part of my journey to make the transition easier for Elenna and I.
So much care and attention has gone into the crucial first stages of Elenna's puppy hood and this has encouraged a superb platform to continue on with a fantastic and happy, confident, social and trusting puppy.
I would thoroughly recommend Liz and Andy as breeders as they truly mean what they say with lifetime support and most definitely make you feel like part of the family.
Gemma with Shadow.
Liz and Andy as breeders, I couldn't of asked for a better relationship with my breeders. I can phone them at anytime of day, and take it from me I have. I can ask them the most stupid question which I have and i am a worrier, a lot of people say too much of a worrier and liz and Andy answered every worry and question. They have been there for us anytime shadow has been unwell. They are not breeders that think once there puppy's have gone there gone, they wan't to be involved with their life.
Shadow my baby. I don't know where to start. He is the most loving and caring dog I could have ever asked for. He is fantastic with the kids, my youngest is two years old and the relationship they have is amazing they are like a little pack of there own, they get into so much mischief together. Shadow is very loyal and trustworthy. I forget sometimes he is a dog, I speak to him like I would speak to you, he speaks back when he doesn't agree. He very rarely barks. I could go on for pages and pages about him. But it comes down to, I am so pleased I got him and I couldent imagine our life's without him. You couldn't asked for a better good natured dog. My shadow.
Nikki with Merlin.
When my partner and I first discussed getting our first dog together over a year ago now, it was not without a major reality check. Donald was the first one to suggest it, probably a little more casually than he actually meant and me being the hot- headed female that I am, quickly pounced up on the idea. Hmmm a dog. Very quickly, the next day to be exact, I had sought out the perfect pooch for me. Childhood fantasies of having my very own wolf had won over. The picture in the P+J was actually of Merlin’s father Kai, and I quickly fell in love with the breed. Liz and Andy where exceptionally helpful, explaining that Merlin was the last of the litter and that they had been very fussy with homing him. They helped us to understand the ’Wolf dog’ breed and what exactly we would be committing too. It was obvious from that first call that they were looking for a perfect match for their darling baby and when we made the 4 hour journey to collect him, it was easy to see why. He was gorgeous - a little blue eyed bundle of white fluff. What was more astounding was that after a conversation about giving our new arrival the perfect name, Donald and I played with the name ‘Merlin’, after one of my favourite mythological figures. Liz and Andy had actually nick named the wee guy Merlin before we mentioned it. It was fate!
On picking Merlin up, we were welcomed by Liz, who happily introduced us to Kai and Ava, Merlin’s mum and dad and little sister Alba. All equally beautiful doggies. She gave us full instructions on feeding him, and even gave us a bag of the dried mix he’d been having. Along with a chew, sentimental toy and a comfort blanket, that he still has, she made extra sure that Merlin would find the transition easy.
Liz assured me that if we had any questions whatsoever, we just had to call her, no matter how silly we thought they might be or whatever the time was. I also left her my mobile number, where she could feel free to check on her ‘gran-pup’ any time she wanted to. Over a year on , and we still keep in touch and I would say our relationship has moved on from breeder to friends. We exchange pictures of the babies, and more so now that Merlin has become a big half brother. Hopefully this summer we can return Merlin to his roots, to meet up with his siblings and his two legged granny and granddad. We know we would be welcomed in like old friends.
As for the boy himself, well what can I say about our baby. He’s a typical boy, full of beans and mischief, who secretly likes a cuddle from his mummy every so often. I could forever write stories about his ‘adventures’ but for now I’ll just say that he has grown into the biggest soft clown, who constantly surprises us with his antics and keeps us laughing. His curiosity amazes me, as do his ninja abilities. How can an animal so large, move so quickly and quietly? It is definitely baffling.
He has become one of our family, and needs to be involved in every aspect of our life. We really couldn’t be without him now, and look forwards to enjoying many happy years with our crazy but loveable Merlin.
Should we ever consider extending on our pack, Liz and Andy would most definitely be our first port of call. They are honest, trustworthy and knowledgeable and I would be proud to be considered for another puppy in the future.
